where every story has a twist

The Weight of Silver — How It Got Here

Some stories arrive clean. This one didn’t.

The Weight of Silver started as a contest entry — 3,000 words, hard limit, no exceptions. I cut it to the bone. Took out everything that wasn’t Keld, wasn’t the rain, wasn’t the coin. What survived the cut placed in the top three.

But the version that placed wasn’t the whole story. It was the skeleton.

What you’ll find in Tales From The Forge is the story the way it was meant to be read. The flesh is back on it. The weight is back in it.

How to get in

The story is locked. Not because I don’t want you to read it — because I want to know who’s reading it.

Join the Forge. You’ll get a confirmation email. That email is your key. Click confirm and the door opens. Keep the email — it’s how you get back in any time you want to return.

One story. One password. No cost but your email address.

The fire’s already burning.
